The original intent of the Constitution required property ownership to vote. I'm not so sure I'd be that strict, as there are non-property owners (e.g., a lot of retired people) who should vote. HOWEVER, I do think you should be required to pass a current events test to vote. Perhaps ten questions given while you're waiting in line. The questions would be random from a of, say, 50 questions.
I'd be happy to draft the questions.

I think a basic civics test, given every 10 years to citizens who wish to vote, should be the deciding factor, I don’t care how unfair some people think it is, if you don’t understand the constitution and the limits placed on our government you shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

I think you should be required to have some ownership in the country. You should own property, stocks or bonds, a business, or be a member of the military.

I would definitely support a civics test to qualify to vote.
Too many ignoramus's who haven't a clue what they're even voting for could end up putting us into slavery to the state.
