Those verses you gave in 1 Peter are precious verses for all. When I was a boy (now that has been over seventy years ago) I overheard many adults bemoaning hardships they had to endure. I somehow thought were not caused by how good they lived, but was their own fault.
When I became of age, and read these things, and understood we can suffer for doing wrong; and we can suffer for doing right, I came to 1 Peter 4:16: “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”
From there I learned the word “Christian” was in scriptures only there times (Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, and here in 1 Peter 4:16) and it is a message to us in itself.
“For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17)
