This is not the popular critical (smirk) opinion, but The Fab Four were best in their Beatlemania Days.
Give me the innocence of the early 60’s over the emerging “progressive”, worldly cynicism that came later.
I, too, love their Beatlemania period - being a teeny-bopper at the time. Oddly enough, their later work bugged me because it was so nostalgic of Liverpool and the Goons. I had and still have no idea what they were singing about in those songs!
That being said, I knew this thread would bring out the Beatle haters. Yeah, right, that Communist Ringo, lol!
