If we had not had such a large increase in atmospheric CO2 (only a tiny fraction of which came from human activity), we’d be having to use a whole lot more land to produce the same amount or maybe even less of food.

Earth has shown a slight increase in forested acres every year since the Surveyor satellites were launched (1968).

All that "extra" CO2 is going to good effect. You'd think the Greens would approve of the outcome...

Yeah, ha ha. I got my cousin's wife all bent out of shape when, after she had gone on a rant on the family email server about the anti-environmental policies of the Republicans, I pointed out to her that we have more forest cover in both the United States and the world than at any time over the past 100 years. Then after she alleged a biased source for that, I pointed out that the statistics were from the U.N.. Ha ha ha, that was SOOOOOO sweet. Haven't heard any more such rants.
