While the motivation of Jared Loughner remains somewhat a mystery the reaction from the media and political hacks on both sides is completely predictable.
By now there are very few Americans who have not heard of the tragedy in Tuscon Arizona. A 22 year old man by the name of Jared Loughner gunned down several innocent people including a Federal Judge, a 9 year old girl and Democratic Congress Woman Gabrielle Giffords.
The story has been plastered all of the news since the shooting took place. The coverage seems to haves been focused on Loughner’s motivation. The left seems determined to lay the blame for Loughner’s actions in the lap of Palin, Limbaugh, Beck and the Tea Party. The right seems determined to refute these claims pointing out that Loughner was clearly mentally defective. Both are completely missing the point.
Loughner killed innocent people; that is the point. Why he did so may never be completely understood and truthfully it matters little. The victims in this case have become nothing more than a convenient foil for activists on all side to further one political agenda or another.
The left sees it as a way to silence the right. Gun control activist see it as an opportunity to further restrict gun ownership. Partisans see it as a way to silence talk radio and censor the blogosphere. Does anyone see it for what it is; as a tragedy for the victims and their families?

The Left sees this as a way to make progress in their cause of destroying the constitution that they hate so much. The 1st and 2nd amendments are in their crosshairs. The accomplices in the media are only obeying the orders from central planning.
Big time. The left knows that this nut was one of them. So they are going to use him in their latest attempt to gut the constitution. I hope that someone in the democrat party media figures out that if they get their way, they will be the first to go in the purge.
They need to look up what a usefull idiot is.
Good thing we got the House back in American hands for two years. They should be able to stop the Bolshevicks and bottle them up until help arrives in 2012.
I want to comment on the vulnerability of the American people to the leftwing PC press. What IF Loughner had been a rightwing, tea-party loving conservative with a car full of righwing bumper stickers. What differnce would it make. Does one deranged individual (ala McVeigh)sabotage othodox and conservative thought everywhere? Are we that vulnerable to one emotionally ill wacko that our entire movement can be kneecapped by one atrocious, diabolical incident? If we want to look at facts let’s look at this. Apparently this wackjob threatened previous officials, schoolmates,etc. Threatening is a felony and if somebody had enforced all the laws that are already one the book, this nihilistic Kliebold and Harris type dude would have had his gun ownership rights taken away years ago. I’m going to go way out on a limb and blame Enle vs. Vitale for a portion of this horrific tragedy. By taking God out of our schools, our public life, our Christmas Creches, liberalism has created this generation of God-hating, anarchistic, nihilistic, prozac-dependent shells of humnan beings. Remember this guy raged about Bibles given to serviceman and other antichristian rants.
I don’t care. He should just be executed without any fanfare, but I doubt any of the media would allow that.
Crazy = insane. Loughner may end up in a mental ward rather that a prison.
