The number: Way worse than expectations of 415k, and a big jump last week, and a big jump from that sub-400K that we got right at the end of 2010.

Together we strive toward the Great Depression Part2!
Very few will hear this. The swooning from the rally last night is still in full swing.
The jobless spike is all Sarah Palin’s fault don’t you know.
THere’s that “UNEXPECTED” again!
New Deal - Roosevelt
New Frontier - Kennedy
Great Society - Johnson
Compassionate Conservativism - Bush
Unexpected - Obama
Actual unemployed figures much closer to 25 percent. IMHO, and not due for significant improvement anytime soon, unless the picture at the end of the tunnel suddenly becomes much brighter, with changes in policy that indicate the White House is interested in reality.
The US Second Great Depression marches merrily on.
Dem commentators will say Sarah Palin and her political rhetoric are responsible for the biggest jump in unemployment in the last 6 months. They will say that lady is stealing jobs and food from kids tables with political rhetoric.
You think I’m joking, after the last few days and that monstrosity last night was plumbing new depths of disgracefullness.
I know things are bad. But the way focus on the week to week numbers indicates that they really don’t understand the process.
While I believe the folks putting the numbers together really stretch to have them make sense, it is important to look at trends, averages, and seasonality.
That said, I think the people putting their expectations out in public should really adjust their perception of the world.
The old rules aren’t working, and these folks just do adjust well to changing paradigms.
Also to blame for Jobless Claims Big Spike:
1) Glen Becks angry TV show
2) Sarah Palin’s facebook speech
3) Rhetoric from Talk Radio that promotes violence
4) Fox News negativity
5) The Tea Party promoting a climate of hate
6) Rush Limbaugh wanting Obama to fail
7) The NRA’s pro gun stance making business to fearful to hire anyone
8) Vitriol political climate caused by the GOP taking control of congress
9) Congress reading the US Constitution.
10) ...You know him!!!...You Love Him!!! as always...GW Bush!!
not surprising at all...
Unexpected to the “experts”, but predicted by many on this board.
It will be revised upwards to 490,000 next week... they always have to revise them UP. We are in a depression... food shortages are coming... 5$ gas is coming... anarchy is coming.
