Too bad Biden is a Democrat. Otherwise, his gaff-a-minute performances would be comedic fodder for years if not decades to come.

"Stand up, Joe!"

her use of bullseyes Her map, created by a contract media person, did not use bullseyes. It used crosshairs as those used on maps for survey marks. Yes, they were crosshairs, but not of teh sort one sees when looking though a gunsight. The Democrats, however, have used bullseyes on their maps.

According to some derranged folk who write to the NY Daily News this is what Sarah Palin is guilty of:

Holbrook, L.I.: I agree with Voicer Diane R. Kline: Sarah Palin is self-absorbed and ignorant. I gather she feels that killing bears and moose will make her appear powerful, and that others will fear her. However, animals actually have more social responsibility than Palin: They do not kill one another in the name of sports, politics or religion.
and so is this

Manhattan: What a different expression Sarah Palin wears when she is complaining about “blood libel.” Certainly not the same happy face as when she is shooting innocent animals on her self-serving reality show. And why do conservative journalists like Sean Hannity still insist on calling her a governor, when she is no longer one?

It’s interesting to hear the responses when you try to pin down a lib on why... specifically... they hate her. Usually it’s:

1. “She’s an idiot.”
2. “I hate the way she talks.”
3. “She just won’t go away.”
4. “She’s a gun nut.”
5. “She thinks she can see Russia from her house.” (yep... many still think she, not Tina Fey, said it)

Notice, though... the hate is not issues- or fact-driven. Like most matters, what counts with liberals is that basic emotional reaction... nothing to do with intellectual thought whatsoever.

Aside from Obammie being a pro abortion/pro sodomite Marxist, has anyone complied a list of his gaffs?

What totally amazes me is how quickly people forget the hate speach from the left when Sarah Palin first hit the national stage. They were merciless in their attacks, not only on her personally, but on her children. It was shameless, and she withstood the onslaught. Maybe they need to be reminded of their vitriolic speech... um oh yeah, I forgot—it’s ok for them—do as I say, not as I do.

Yep. No doubt about it. She’s the nominee for us. They’re scared she’s gonna be president, that’s what this crap is all about

The premise that there are “news reports” saying anything about Palin is the issue. They are not news reports, they are commentary pretending to be news reports.

Sarah Palin’s greatest sin to the left is that she knowlingly carried, gave birth to, and loved a Down’s Syndrome baby. By giving this child not only love, she is the truest example by reminding us that a pregnant woman is not carrying a choice, but a real human being, worthy of love and life.

There is no stronger rebuke against the left’s culture of death and rebellion against faith. She not only speaks her faith and culture, she lives it without reservation and as she reminded us in her Hannity interview, without fear. This is extremely dangerous to the left because nothing they do can break her faith. She not only speaks truth, she practices it. And for this, she must be destroyed. This is what we are witnessing.

Great post.

Her simple, straightforward, honest, and easy style of speaking unravels all the fear and loathing the media pushes against conservatives in an effort to scare people. The attacks are out of fear that all the extensive and duplicitous efforts to push the liberal, post-modern, secular-humanist message as the only truth on the voting public will all be for naught by the plain speaking Sarah Palin.

All true, and very insightful.

I'd like to posit my theory as to why the hatred is so intense, and it's not that different from yours.

It's no secret that liberalism is on the ropes. It's on the ropes because the most sacrosanct liberal tenets are constantly refuted by events on the ground and history itself. Liberals are tribal. Unlike individualistic conservatives, their beliefs, because they are largely based on lies, require constant affirmation from within and without; these are the roles the collective (tribe) and the mainstream media play.

Of all their bankrupt beliefs, only one has the quality of being the glue that holds all of liberalism together.

We must understand that even with liberals it is a daunting, arduous task to maintain the belief that it's ok to kill a fetus. That it's ok to kill a fetus for.....convenience alone. The second thing we have to realize is that if liberalism succeeds in getting conservatives to stand aside on abortion, then we've just obliterated our bedrock tenet-the belief in the sanctity of human life. If we lose the abortion battle, then the rest of conservatism will fall.

So on to the scene bursts Sarah Palin. Already a threat because she's a conservative, already a threat because she's a beautiful female conservative, already a threat because she a beautiful female conservative with young children that managed to become the governor of a state. And then, she really really becomes a threat, by deciding to have another baby that she knows has Down's syndrome.

This was a significant emotional event for all liberals, an uh-oh moment. The instant it was revealed that this woman was actually going to have this baby, liberals knew she had to be off the stage. With their tenuous hold on sanity by virtue of having to maintain a belief contrary to human nature, they also sensed that all the psychological trappings of liberalism could be threatened by anything this woman said or did.

They saw her then, and still see her now, as an existential threat, and it's not just political-it's personal.

Sarah Palin literally drives liberals crazy. In my opinion it's the abortion issue, and the abortion issue alone, that evinces such vitriolic hatred from leftist quarters, as regards Sarah Palin.

It's not so much what she says, it's who she is that threatens them. Because the abortion issue occupies such a pivotal position in the underpinnings of the liberal ideological edifice, Sarah Palin is seen as the possible end of everything they hold dear.

I think many American see Sarah Palin as someone who represent their values. This is why she is appealing and still, despite all odds, in the picture for the next presidential election. Now it does not seems that the Republican Party official want to see her in the picture tough. The interview given on 60 Minutes about 8 months ago by a Republic Party representative was a deliberate attempt to discredit her as a viable republican nominee for the 2012 Presidential election. They probably thinking that she cannot appeal to more 20% of voters.
