>>He, convinced against his will, is unconvinced still.<<

I don’t try to “logically convince” people. I tend to see the intellect (natural man) as something that needs to be bypassed to allow the spirit to do it’s work.

That is, people are “intellectually convinced” that Christianity is baloney, but I dont’ think anybody is intellectually convinced to be a Christian. I think that enough evidence is offered in scripture to be able to cut through the intellect, if the spirit is willing, and communicate spiritually. If someone is hardened, the intellect will never be satisfied with enough evidence.

I’m not saying it very well. In a sentence, what I mean is this: The good news must cut through the intellect to reach the spirit. And if your intellect is your god, then it will not happen.

OTOH, it is easy to intellectually convince people that Christianity is bogus. It makes no sense. I mean, come on, WOMEN witnessing the empty tomb? Their testimony held no weight in the world of Jesus time. ;)

I agree, but the question was concerning getting someone to church.

Hi, Wanna' go? .. No? .. OK.

We're the priesthood God relies on to preach in and out of season.

Hey John, can I talk to you about somethin' ?
