There is a fundamental flaw in thinking Western influences will liberate Muslims. Muslims won’t be liberated until they free their minds from Islam, and the West doesn’t understand that kind of spiritual problem.
I can still remember the Westernized Iranians who wore their Ayatollah Khomeini emblems when the Shaw was overthrown. Iranians couldn’t wait to book flights home to help celebrate their Islamic democracy. Many of the Iranians who lived richly and freely over here went home to help taunt America.
Well said...Islam is programmed into them from the time they can walk and few that have been subjected to that indoctrination ever overcome it.
When the Shah fell, the Iranian Navy students we had going through school at Great Lakes, IL were put in limbo. The officers had their families with them and applied for political asylum — to go home was a likely death sentence. The CPO’s and PO’s were sent back, like it or not, and no one knows what happened to the poor guys.
If Egypt (or other countries like Tunisia or Jordan) fall to the Islamists, there will be a lot of blood as they purge the “evil” Western influences in their societies. They will also purge them of other religions including all forms of Christians, Jews, and any other Infidel they hate. The evil is that scum like Barry Obama will cheer them on in his hideous heart, and so will other so-called “Americans.”
An Iranian surgeon who operated on a member of my family saw the writing on the wall in 79 and went back to Iran to get his family OUT. He disappeared himself, but fortunately escaped several years later. I never heard how many family members he was able to extricate.
It's astonishing how much of the Western countries' leadership, as well as a frightening number of electorates, fail to understand that by far the most significant driving forces of islam are politics and bellicosity. Not in any way 'spiritual!'
