It's not difficult for effective and successful people to be insane these days and keep up a reasonable facade. After all, what is considered reasonable has been redefined to such a degree that the insane are quite visible in any major city. For every one of those "failures" you see, there are people equally as bad off who continue unidentified as insane due to chance and opportunity. In the case of Barry, you can't go that far into narcissism without becoming insane even if you start out only borderline or episodically psychotic. It'll show one day for anyone allowed to witness his actions at the time. Whether we'll hear about it in less than fifty years is another matter.
