For whatever reason, gardening is exploding in popularity this year...

I know it was not your purpose in the article to go into this...

...but the reason is inflation. The price of everything and particularly food and gasoline is going up and up, people are feeling the squeeze, and every tomato the garden supplies to the kitchen is a help.

I'll leave for another time the discussion of potential future governmental control of food resources.

You are exactly right. I’ve gotten to where I despise buying tomatoes in the grocery. Unfortunately, I was sick pretty much all last year and didn’t get but 5 or 6 quarts of sauce canned. I did pickles, won’t need to this year.

Also, it’s healthier and tastier. You know exactly what is in the food you eat! Don’t forget to hit the thrift stores for supplies....more likely to find mason jars there in city type areas, but sometimes you luck out in rural areas as well.

Future is now. During the Lame Duck Session in December at the last minute late at night the Senate passed HR2749/S.510 by voice vote, when it went back to the house replaced the body of HR2751 becoming FDA Food Takeover Bill and was passed and signed into law by Obozo.

Yep, the bastards really did it, and did everything they could to avoid being labeled as voting for it. They sold us out to Global Ag.
