So why the Hell are the Republicans not raising hell about it?

Almost all of Congress believes the requirement to be outdated and passe.

But, instead of amending the Constitution, Congress will continue to do what it has for nearly two centuries...ignore it until the infraction goes away on its own.

They could not be farther from the truth. According to those who believe the 14th Amendment grants anyone born on U.S. soil to be natural born, they clearly neglect the fact the framing fathers would never had allowed citizens born to illegal aliens to become president. Ever.

However no one has been able to find one word of discussion about the natural born citizen requirement in the deliberations of the Framers at the Constitutional Convention. There were other issues that had tremendous amounts of discussion in shaping the Republic. For example, the Framers were firm that US Senators should NOT be popularly elected. Yet the 17th Amendment changed one of the fundamental principles of the Founders and provided for popular election of US Senators.
The Framers were wise enough to allow for future generations to alter their most basic and important ideas.
They also left ending slavery and women’s suffrage for future generations to decide.

Very true. But instead of clarifying or changing the Natural Born Citizen definition, the current group in Washington is doing everything in their power to ignore the issue by belittling Constitutionally-minded citizens and imprisoning a soldier for simply demanding due process.

It is not that we can not change the laws, it is that our federal government refuses to accept there is a problem that has been lingering since the early 1800's and needs clarified. Once it is clarified, We the People and the federal government can amend it if necessary. This is clearly failing to occur so the process put in place by the framing fathers can not be completed properly.
