America May Soon Be Left Out in the Cold

History rates as losers those leaders who fail to deal with big problems. Consider the Iranian Revolution. President Carter fretted about the turmoil as protesters took to the streets of Tehran, writing in his diary, "The situation in Iran varies from bad to terrible." Still, it was just one of many issues on his plate.

In fact, Carter spent far more time on normalizing relations with China and arms talk with the Soviets. Days later, he even penned hopefully, "[Khomeini] indicated he might return to Iran and would be receptive to friendship with the U.S."

I am so tired of all this crap. The U.S. is constantly trying to merge with the Earth instead of and in spite of protecting ourselves first.

The U.N. is a farce. The more we try to ‘appease’ the world, the more they freakin’ attack us? For what?

They don't want us. We don't (or shouldn’t) want them. It is mutual. So what are we doing?

What is the point of all the NWO appeasement nonsense. Who freakin’ cares about any of this stuff? How does any of this benefit us? Yes! US, you remember. What used to be the United States of America.

An Arctic Passage and the US Coast Guard with 3 Ships capable of breaking the ice in the Arctic - US in the Cold.

The lead sentences have really nothing to do with the story at all.

The US and a northern passage through the Arctic - the dream of so many nations for such a long time, since the discovery of the New World. Global warming is another hoax.

Rather odd excerpt choice when it’s mostly about the arctic.

George Washington warned America to beware of foreign entanglements. Although I approve of the original reasons for entering the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars I see no reason for getting involved in Libya. Furthermore, “nation-building” should not be used as a pretext to wage war.

The blog pimp goes for the hat trick.

How many excerpted posts take it from pimping to spamming?

Abuse hit. This belongs in Bloggers, not News.

Just like the rest of the stuff you spam on a daily basis.

Get a clue, please.

But the real lesson is that successful leaders must be able to multitask. While addressing critical issues quickly and decisively, they must remain ever alert to emerging challenges, making sure that they are dealt with effectively, lest they slip under the radar and wind up becoming full-blown crises down the road.

Obama-speak: Multitasking = Watching all the polls and redefining policy accordingly.
