80 million from universities??? Is that why tuition is going up so fast?
I believe that $80M was a series of anonymous gifts from one source given to the colleges with female presidents, and the NPRite was relating her experience from having worked for one of the recipient colleges. That’s how I understood it, anyway.

I once worked at a large northeast university that hosted an NPR station. I suspect a LOT of that $80 million is “in kind”. The one I worked at provided a building, power, water, parking, payroll and personnel management.
