If the gas is $7/gallon...even if Obama captured every terrorist on the planet, it won’t matter if you are UNEMPLOYED.

Exactly. Don’t forget that in 1991 Bush 41 had an approval rating of 91% plus for kicking Saddam out of Kuwait. No major Dem candidate would run against him.

Then came Clinton and the whining about the “economy” that wasn’t as NEAR as bad as it is today. Remember the big economic fight during Bush 41? Cable bills. The Dems were sucessful, because Bush was a pussy, in creating a major uproar over rising CABLE cost! Talk about the straw man covered in red herrings.

Then, “it’s the economy stupid” took off and Clinton wins (with Perot’s help).
