Rather than drop a moab on the compound and then dig out bones or teeth for DNA confirmation he goes for the one way he can take credit.

It wasn't for Osama that we sent in the SEALs. We sent them in to secure all the data, hard drives, flash drives, paper docs, etc that could be found in the compound.

A lot of people in the Muslim world are very nervous right now.

Including a lot of our so-called "friends" in the region.

Yesterday on one thread someone argued that the latest Wikileaks release would have allowed Osama to figure out that we knew where he was, or at least that we knew about his courier, so they had to act right away. That sounds plausible enough--otherwise Obama would have thought about it for a few months, like he did with the half-surge in Afghanistan.

The liberals are saying that Republicans might as well concede the 2012 presidential election now, because Obama is unbeatable after the killing of Osama. But meanwhile the Seals are guilty of killing a person with a disability and without reading him his Miranda rights.

Maybe they need to revise the national seal and add the Latin translation of "No good deed goes unpunished."

Except we told the world that we had that data before it was even back in country to be analyzed.

So the people who were identified had plenty of time to get out of Dodge.

I remember one time Bush waited weeks before announcing a major capture, so they could use the information.

And it’s not like Obama wouldn’t have gotten the same credit if he waited a week to say Osama was dead, or if he would have gotten less credit if the information leaked out as rumor first. After all, he blew the announcement so we all know ahead of time anyway.
