Corrections on your issues based on how some are spinning it. First on the Fed- the regional federal reserve banks do not have the same function as the US Federal Reserve. They have no say in monetary policy or printing money. Regional FED banks help transfer money between banks, clear checks, ensure banks keep their books clean, etc. A bunch of Paultards have been trying to spin that to make it sound like he was in bed with the devil- really just their willing ignorance of the facts. You got the audit issue right. He did support the Audit if it was done independently and included where the real political power lays, the US Treasury Dept(something the audit callers ignore). He was opposed to self-defeating witch hunts some have been proposing. IE, he took an adult approach.
TARP. He was an outspoken critic of TARP. He supported one small piece of what became TARP before it went out. It was during a time when everyone was debating what to do. Again, taking an adult approach and working through what was happening instead of knee jerk reacting either to go all in with TARP or let it all collapse.
