Didnt DeMint endorse Romney in 2008? Whether he did or not in '08 is not all that relevant now. In '08, Romney was seen as the last alternative to McCain, and RomneyCare > ObamaCare was not yet an issue. A lot of people at that point were supporting Romney who would not do so now.

I think he did, but from that field, he might have been the best of the bunch. The alternatives after Iowa and NH were McCain or Huck. Of those three, I went with Romney, too.
