I pray for his family.

In that case, I don’t feel sorry for him.

First trick to living in the jungle is to not act like food.

Yea, he knew where he was. He’s in AMERICA....not Zimbabwe. We all should be able to travel freely without fear of threats and harrassment.

If you truly believe that, you are a fool. There are places the cops won't go, much less a Fox news guy who is known for tweaking peoples noses. There are places just 20 miles from me where a Caucasian face will get a lot of welcome attention, and the cops will probably not be to sympathetic to you when you get robbed.

Be aware. If you are in public, be aware that you are inside the treeline, and act accordingly.

He’s exaggerating. Beck did not stick out in any way.

It was a public and family friendly event. He wasn’t in the hood hanging with acorn.

That is the most succinct statement on this issue I have seen. Thanks.

Wow, I thought this was AMERICA, where anyone can go enjoy a nice enening in a park. When one lowers ones expectations one usally gets low results. Where else will you surrender the right to live in peace?

When one lowers ones expectations one usally gets low results.

What expectations? In Manhattan? Kindness and civility towards people on the right? Get real. Look at the pics. This was not a family box social. No kids. Just college age dopers and liberal malcontents sucking up a free event in NYC. I have no expectation to travel freely in with a Tea Party shirt on through SF, NYC or DC. I have no expectation to wear an American flag shirt safely in East LA.

Glenn is a celebrity who make his cash going after these people. He routinely mocks them on his radio show. What do you think was going to happen. It is the reason he gave for getting out of FOX News and moving his family out of there. Because it is a city of rabid liberals and dopes.

Non-New Yorkers never have anything good to say about the city.

Besides the Summer Film Festival, Bryant Park hosts yoga, tai chi, and knitting classes. There are dancing and birding and fencing classes . . . chess, backgammon, and ping-pong tournaments. There are piano, accordion and jazz concerts. There are stories and games and music for kids like Flaubert Frog & Friends and Le Carrousel Magique. At the Reading Room events you can meet authors, poets and Civil War historians. There are several eateries including the Grill & Café, the Southwest Porch, Celsius and ‘wichcraft. Citi Pond is the centerpiece of the park's winter season, which also includes about 20 holiday shops. The 170' x 100' rink features free ice-skating. For 17 years, it was the home of New York’s Fashion Week. There are gardens, promenades, monuments, terraces, a fountain, free WiFi, and even a shoeshine stand.

“Conservative is the new Black.”

So what do WE get? Money, a new GM car, a low interest mortgage with nothing down, a Harvard education, a government job at twice the private rate? C’mon! Gimme, gimme.

Thx, nic pics and good info you offered in your posts. I’ve only visited a few times, but felt safe with my family and my trips were enjoyable. But, One time while there, I came down with pneumonia, it was awful. The hotel staff was amazingly caring (didn’t know it was pneumonia till I got back home and to the doctors). So, I’d like to think you were right that out of towners started it.

On another note, I think I’d prefer to stay in Hoboken across the river and take the ferry over on our next visit. We did that once and it was a good choice. Nice view and and not congested at the harbor.

He went into an area which he should have known he would not be welcome. He did so without trying to make himself not look like Glen Beck.

Don’t go to public events. “Free” attracts a very bad crowd in many urban areas.

If you have ever taken a concealed carry class or self defense class, they go over things like “Don’t go there”.

Men do not willingly place their families in danger. Glen was at best ignorant, at worst negligent.

I don’t let my 2 year walk alone by the highway, and he should not have gone to this even in the open. I don’t know where you live or where you have been, but that is life.

If you want to make a statement, bring a lot of friends and be aware that the consequences of your actions could be very bad. Don’t strut around saying “I have a RIGHT!” in areas where you are not welcome. Don’t wave red in front of a bull, and don’t do the same in NYC. This is not the America you think it is. Hasn’t been for a long time. Deep down, I think you know that.

Stupid gets you killed. Glen was stupid. I am glad he is fleeing West. Wish only the best for him, but this was a bad move on his part.

Beck should have known better and have made sure his phone camera was taping.

Put those idiots on TV for the world to see what kind of a-holes they are.

Then I’d sue the park.

“The leftist mob is similar to the radical islamist mob, without the beheadings.”

So far. They’d do it if they ever thought they could get away with it.

He did none of those things as you stated. He laid down on a blanket. I’m a worry wart, but you must live in a cave. I won’t live like that, never have, never will. I’ve traveled quite a bit, and from the pics I saw, I’d go to that event too...judging by the looks of the people there. Yes, I go to free events too! While traveling, My son has played soccer in with the local kids in town squares and parks when we travel to other countries... Not organized sports, but spontaneous games...they can’t even verbally communicate with each other, but still have fun, and never have a problem. I’ll take my chances. I understand the difference between street smart and paranoia.

They sure would, look at how long they got away with lynchings.
