The right screen is the laptop LCD. It's a widescreen. The left screen is a high res HP flatscreen external. The desktop uses both. I often watch a movie on the right screen and make snarky pro-linux comments on the left. ;)

All new laptops should allow dual monitor use. I do programming and always have my laptop connected to a 28" monitor. It improves productivity to have multiple monitors.

you can configure the external monitor to clone the laptop screen or be configured independently.

If I really need more screen space, I can hook my MacBook to my 57” LCD TV. That’s plenty of size & resolution. :)

Yes, quite. I suspect the tower version of the PC will fade in the years to come.

I am using an HP laptop. My first and brother, do I ever love it. Toss in Wifi and I am doing work in the backyard or at a friends house if need be.

I have an 18” inch screen, crisp resolution and so far no troubles. The touch pad drives me nuts so I use a mouse instead of the pad.

I think you will love the freedom.
