I’ve heard this bandied about a lot lately.

Where in the 14th amendment does it say that the Executive branch is allowed to usurp control of the country’s finances at a whim?

Clinton is goading his “friend” into suicide.

This is a really dumb idea. If Obama tried this, the Supreme Court would clearly find it to be unconstitutional. That means that all of the US debt issued during the time that Obama exercised this approach would be invalid. Talk about ruining the US AAA rating, that would surely do it.

House Republicans need to put it out without equivocation that any attempt to subvert the Constitution in this manner will result in an IMMEDIATE impeachment vote.

I think 0 is listening to Clinton and Clinton is out to destroy 0. This “change the goal posts at the last minute to destroy the deal” is the exact same move Clinton pulled in 1995. I think Clinton is egging on 0 to commit political suicide as pay back for beating Hillary in 2008

Is he trying to set up Hillary for 2012?

Impeachment will only be the beginning of their worries, of any public official who attempts to trash the United States Constitution.

“the Supreme Court would clearly find it to be unconstitutional.”

Well, but no one has standing to question 0bama.

Well, of course. If Obama and Democrats don’t get their way on something, they will just do it and dare anybody to try to stop them.

If the president is frustrated at the limits on presidential power under our constitutional republic, then he will just decide to do something, and dare anybody to stop him. That’s what’s going on here.

I sure don’t see how Obama has been “post partisan” or changed the tone in Washington or any of that. Political showdowns and last minute back room deal making and arm twisting seem to be his modus operandi.

I’ve heard this president is narcissistic, which can only add to his frustration at learning that not everyone is liberal, and that not everyone dreams of the liberal utopia he hopes to create.

it’s a lie...no place in the 14th amendment does the executive branch have that authority....let ‘em do it then the house will have no choice but move to impeach.

But Hillary has said that she’s tired and worn down, and plans to leave her job as Sec. of State after Obama’s term is over, even if he wins re-election.

And Bill said that Hillary wants to be a grandmother much more than she ever wanted to be president. Although with Chelsea’s marital problems, the last news we would expect is that a baby is on the way.

Ugh! Another video clip! I sure wish FR had a rule that video clips must be clearly labeled, so that folks like me can avoid them.

No, I don’t think that is in the cards. Bill Clinton is a vicious nasty little man. I think this is just pay back. Clinton’s ego could not stand being upstaged by 0.

And as far as the Supreme Court and court action, all of that takes time to file the appropriate lawsuits, try to get injunctions, etc.

Unless a court issued an injunction against Obama, he would still take whatever action he decided to take, and we would all have to wait for this matter to wind its way through the federal courts, before it even reached the Supreme Court for consideration.

Heck, public officials across the country at all levels trash the Constitution every day in ways big and small. Been doing it for much of the country's history. Doesn't make it right, but it's a fact anyway.

HOR will announce to the world (While they stall appropriating funds to the Executive Branch's travel budget but appropriate funds for other areas a National importance) that America has no King. Also, read the first sentence in Sec. 4, paying attention to the “authorized by law” part. Sec 5 also is the fly in the ointment of the tyrannical power grab by the President.

USSC court would knock this down ASAP, meaning weeks, since this would be a huge priority. Obama would look foolish and desperate to a lot of independent voters. Hell, it might wake up the tens of millions who don't even vote.
