As of 3:57 the Dow is DOWN 493 points. Didn't the liberal scum like Timmy Turbo Tax say that the financial markets would collapse if we DIDN'T raise the debt limit?

Or another way of looking at it is when you’re job is no longer there and you don’t have one paycheck then there’s no way to live from day to day much less prep. If you’d just managed to take a few dollars from the one paycheck to prep, those stores might just get your family over the hump until another paycheck finds it’s way to you. Prepping isn’t just for TEOTWAWKI but also for times of unemployment, illness, natural disaster, or some other emergency.

Having read some stuff on Soros’ method of creating disruption and disorder, I wonder if he’s not deliberately making crisis after crisis to freak everyone out and empty a whole bunch of pockets. People will also then be willing to submit to a strong man in exchange for some bit of safety.
Good thing Jesus is going to come and clean up this mess one day.

Of course. However, the recommedation was to buy two of everything I normally buy.

Right now, I’m struggling to stock up on “house”. I have 5 acres with a stream, but no buildings on it. I’ve gotten through 4 of the 6 major obstacles toward building, working on #5. I have a design for a house that is basic enough that the main part should be able to go up in a day.
Prayers would help, as would any influence FReepers might have on the zoning board in that county ;)
(It’s in southern WI, but I’d rather not post more details than that)
