Christie is playing the old Democrat ethnic pandering routine, instead of simply choosing the best person....... Remember how pandering to Muslims worked out in the Fort Hood massacre.

They are simply under the impression that "inclusion" will somehow appease Muslims. Impossible....and our country will suffer just as Europe is now. With Shariah compliant laws...protected Muslim areas...and their school system being bomBarded with "false" Islamic teaching. So by the time those kids are grown they will accept Islam.

There is no appeasement to Islam....it's agenda is to conquer and that it will by any means necessary. They have now a foothold in our country because of our politicians welcome mats.....the day will come when our kids will be dealing with the likes of the unimaginable for this.

The best way to govern the border is to get capitol hill the **** out of it. They dont live on the border.

It is sad the the FBI are running themselves ragged trying to catch the jihadists while at the same time jihadi supporters are being invited to the White House and governors’ mansions. There is big divide between the no nonsense FBI and the clown politicians that we keep electing. We have to elect serious people if we want our country to be safe.

Any capitulation to illegals and their citizen families/supporters chips away at the existence of the entire purpose of the border and render any laws governing it meaningless.

Of course it does....and you would think the turmoil on the border would somehow make that clear to those who do not see or understand. Not to mention the major cities are now contending with thugs and gangs from the south. I mentioned before the prisons are now seeing gang members enter with "FARSI" tatoos....Muslim thugs are all over our country now.

Are you trying to tell us that the following paragraph was not from a speech given by Perry?

“It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership. We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

That would definitely help. Before this is over, with all the Fast/Furious/drug crap going on. we are going to have to militarize it. But that’s a whole other discussion.

The state Govs control the National Guard. The states need to figure out how to finance them and bill the Admin for not doing it’s job. “We aren’t sending tax money till you pay the bill”..of course, that tax money is what ‘pays the bill’, so just skip the middle man and don’t send it to begin with. Problem solved.

It’s a dilly of a pickle of a problem.

We cant just militarize it per Posse Comitatus.
Tx cant afford to cover 1250 mi of border, and even when we try, the feds file suit on us.

We would all be better off if DC just stayed the **** out of states rights.

Then folks could wring their hands about those lawless bastards down in Texas.

When I lived in Az 6 mi from Naco Mexico, we used to roam the hills with sidearms and cellphones.

Sometimes we would buzz the border with piper cubs and call the coyotes positions to the BP.

You cant do that no more.
Remember Jim Gilchrist? He was making drones to fly the border, he begged the Capitol for help.

What did they do? They ****ed him.
The minuteman project is gone.

Yup. But we could just ignore it, after all, Obama gets to pick and choose ;) Kidding!

Personally I’m all for the fence with all the high tech goodies like ground penetrating sonar for tunnel detection. When you look at the cost compared to what Obama spends on terrorist support, it’s miniscule..

And such a fence (a REAL one, not some 4 foot chain link yard fence) is a 99.9% effective method to stop the flow, the drugs and the cross border violence (until the Zetas start lobbing mortars.) But as you said, it all goes back to Washington and as I said, their ‘laws of men.

We have to elect people who will stop catering to the special interests. The EPA/BLM are one big problem on our side with their wilderness area/spotted snarfblat BS stopping construction and driving costs into orbit.

I would suggest (after eliminating all alphabets but the FBI/CIA) that our next President (Palin/Perry/whoever) make the obvious to us statement that border issues are a matter of national security, place the Border Patrol under the Dept. of Defense and THAT skirts Posse Comatatus legally and legitimately. BP would get no further ‘power’ but the full ability to do their job without interference from the special interest mob.

There are so many obstacles.

In my time in Az I saw the Tohono Odham Indian nation reservation become a conduit from Puerto Penasco to Tucson.
Legally nothing could be done. and it remains this way till this moment.

The Tohono Odhamn Nation is a sovereign nation under US laws dating back to the 1840s.

They say BP cant come in to patrol it. They’ll take care of the matter.
Then they take graft from the coyotes and drug runners for safe passage.

They have a freaking corridor and we cant touch it.
You’d think we could sit on the other end of the corridor and intercept them but you’ve no idea ho big this place is.

Down here in Texas Perry has put in a pretty neat system of infrared sensors on towers along the Rio Grande.

They detect and call the authorities. I take it they have it tweeked to know the difference between a deer and a Mexican. Any how, it has to be cheaper that a soldier every 100 yards along a 1250 mi border in 112 degree heat

Sure I do...I live in AZ ;)

You are right, there’s a metric ton of things and people in the way. I really think a lot of it is based on Clo/Priven and an early implementation of it.

The admin has so many crossrefrencing regs/laws etc that it cannot be dismantled. Eliminate law A and Reg B from another dept does the same.

So it must be destroyed utterly. The whole system needs to be nuked via executive order, national security provisions and legislative authority. I an NOT saying Palin/Perry/Whoever should govern like Obama in reverse. I am saying USE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS to eliminate the BS. All this crap was created and it can be undone.

We just need the “will to do it”. If we can get decent people with a sense of right/wrong and purpose elected, I believe it can be done. Sure it will take a while, but it can happen faster than many would think. Pull the right threads and the whole thing unravels.

I guess any asshole could shoot the sensors out but honestly, what are we to do? Who is going to pay for it all?

IMHO opinion it is best for the Feds and the Border states to Lean hard on Mexico.
None of this mordida BS
Then let the locals pick up the stragglers.

If these folks have no incentive to be here they wont come.

Mexico is one of the most horrific governments on the planet.
They are swimming in resources and the people are starving.
When I Talk to locals that get sympathetic to Mexico and want Uncle Sugar to fix it I redirect their attention.
