We have an old car, too.

We have bicycles.

We heat the main area of the house during the winter with propane.

I store charcoal to cook with in an emergency.

We have an old landline telephone, so if the low voltage stuff can get back up with the phone company, we can communicate.

We have a hand-cranked short-wave radio.

We have food and water stored.

We have shooting irons.

Guess we’ll survive.

Practice with your shooting irons, maybe buy a few night vision devices, and ally yourself with enough other adults that you completely trust so that you can guard and defend yourselves 24/7. Zombies will be headed your way.

Ditto checks on those main ones. We might go through FR withdrawal but that free time could be used to keep the zombies at bay.

How long do you get out of a propane delivery? 3 Months?

I agree, read One Second After. Then panic, because most of us won't survive 3 months. :-)

What brand ‘hand-cranked short wave radio’. There are so many out there that I don’t know which is best — or suitable.
