Actually, the GO question is what started this process. I asked him what GO was “..walk your post in a military manner..” He gave me this blank stare like I was crazy.
I have been out of the military a long time and I don't remember the GOs or their order, except for the 12th:). I remember my position, which was Turret Mechanic but can't remember the MOS number, but I could look that up on my DD214.
There used to be a website where you could type in the name and Unit of any member of the service and it would give you the units they served in, the dates and location. I found some of my old army buddies using that site.
