Cain talked about segregation? Wow. Again, totally out of his league.

It’s amazing how much positive talk Newt gets but so little support. I wish people would realize we are electing a President, not Husband of the Year...lol

“let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

“It’s not enough to talk about what black folks ought to do,” Alexander once said. “We have to also look at what government is not doing to ensure fairness and equal opportunity. God is on the side of the least of these. Jesus said ‘the first shall become the last and the last shall become the first.’”

Cain's pastor and good friend from the church Cain preaches at.

You must be MISTAKEN, Conservativegreatgrandma.

Go wash your mouth out with soap.
Perry is for “open borders” and called Americans
‘HEARTLESS’ if they opposed his lavishing of American
taxpayer money on illegal aliens.

HEARTLESS, he said. So, it is YOU who are projecting
and lying, Conservativegreatgrandma.

Perry is not the only one going after Romney.
Santorum did also on the last debate.
So, it is YOU who are projecting and lying, Conservativegreatgrandma.

YOU are a liar. Perry is NOT for open borders but you would rather he was for open borders so you simply lie about it.

“I believe in empowerment zones. Most of the unemployed black Americans in this country are in these mostly economically depressed areas. It could be, and I’m only using this as an example, because we haven’t finished establishing the parameters yet. Instead of in a designated empowerment zone, it being 9-9-9, it could be, as an example only, 3-3-3.

What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, you’re going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes. Herman Cain Oct. 14th CNN

....”You have a son, Griffin, 28, and a daughter Sydney, 25. What was their reaction when you told them you wanted to run for president?

We had a family conference. My son was there with his wife, they’ve been married 18 months. There’s a young man, a Navy SEAL that Anita and I took care of for about two-and-a-half years. He basically adopted us. His name is Marcus Luttrell [co-author of the book Lone Survivor]. He was in the family meeting too. It was Anita, myself, Griffin, his wife Meredith, Sydney, Marcus, and his wife. Seven of us sat down, and we had a conversation.”....

There is a huge difference in those vaccines that protect against airborne or “by touch” communicable diseases and a vaccine that is imposed upon females that was not properly tested and only to prevent genital warts caused by sexual contact.

Right now this vaccine has a life of 4-6 years.

Anymore, it isn’t usually the additives to vaccines that cause most of the problems.

To me it isn’t as much the vaccine as it was a really poor judgement call by Perry to use an EO to impose it.

He also uses poor judgement in his fascination with illegal aliens.

A man who is supposedly so pro life and pro family would have to be blind to endorse Rudy for President. Rudy is totally pro choice and firmly pro choice.

I believe a candidate doesn’t have to be in perfect agreement with me on all issues. I do think the candidate needs to be able to make good judgment calls and be one that is going to reflect the wishes of the people that vote for him.

US citizens always have to come first.

He was really good, I watched the whole thing about 3 times yesterday on C-Span. He really connected with the people and they got a chance to see the real Rick Perry and they liked what they saw.

Perry is a johnny one note on securing the borders. The Federales are the only ones who can and they refuse.

Perry as President would be in position to do what he advocates on border security. Strategic fencing, sufficient National Guard presence, Border Patrol, high tech assets such as drones, strategic fencing (that’s fencing where it can be effective) etc.

His Texas Ranger force is acting cooperatively with Border Patrol NOW, and surely would continue that if he were President. Regardless of his successor...

Perry "won" the recent Iowa Faith And Freedom Coalition event b/c he bamboozled Iowans into believing he was pro-life, pro-family, and an authentic social conservative.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Most voters have wised up to Perry---they know they should ignore what Perry says and watch what he does.

In 2008 Perry endorsed his business partner Rooty Giulini with much fanfare. Noo Yawker Giuli opened a law firm in Texas.....and apparently colluded with Rick to use Texas eminent domain to take land from Texans to give to a Spanish company (Rooty's client) building the Trans Texas Highway. They all stood to profit mightily off land taken from Texans.

Rooty is an obsessed gun-grabber, abortion-worshipper and gay lover. Giuli contributed to PP, was NARAL's guest speraker and marched in gay parades under the Man-Boy Lovers' banner.

Mayor Rooty planned to dump his wife and kick his kids into the streets to install his mistress in the Mayor's manse. He held a press conference announcing he was divorcing without first telling his wife and chikdren.

While still married, Rooty escorted his mistress to official mayoral events. Later it was discovered he finance his mistress via obscure city agencies.

Rooty exited office with some $10 million from a 911 "Foundation" headed by his mistress. He was publicly shamed into giving some of the money to 911 victims' spouses.

So much for Perry's fealty to family values. One can only imagine the crumb-bums like Rooty who would surround a Perry WH (gag)

It reminds me of the Democrats’ blind devotion to Obama, d*mn the facts and move ahead with the talking points—and anyway, who needs “facts” when they can make up the ones they want? I don’t post a lot on these threads any longer for that reason—it just invites more of the same from the attack-bots. I don’t even read a whole lot beyond the main article—the attack-bot posts are predictable, even while being almost entirely off-base and often completely false. Lately, FR seems to function more like DU.

It’s apparent that the Cain campaign simply doesn’t know what they should be doing.

Poor old Herman, 28% to perry's 7% in Iowa and the Cain "simply doesn't know what it should be doing".

What ever Herman is doing his numbers are 400% better than rickys.

I watched the whole thing on C-Span and Herman was the first speaker and I thought he did well.

Opinions are shaded by viewpoints so those that agree/disagree will have the same/different opinions.

If you just rate the "winner" by the one that gave the best speech, no one can come close to the newt. Newt has the best knowledge of history and politics and can think on his feet and deliver a speech better than any politician in the Country.

Herman is honest to a fault, does step on his crank once in a while, but shoots straight and has excellent moral grounding.

I'll take Herman, the perrywinkles can have the 10 year governor of the great state of Texas.

FRiend, it is not about talk.
It is about action. Mr. Perry in open debate
called Americans who want otherwise, "HEARTLESS".

Perry didn’t divorce his wife and put his kids in the street. Perry doesn’t support abortion. Perry didn’t walk away with “911” money. Perry certainly isn’t going to grab your guns. Like many others, he supported Rudy soley because of his stance on the war on terror and the fear that obama wouldn’t continue Bush’s WOT policies.

The fact that he even spoke to La Raza is enough for me. Why not legitimize the Klan by speaking to them too.

Rudy isn’t my pick, but I, like Perry, did not repeat did not want John McCain.

In case you missed it, Perry has spoken to his reasoning on endorsing Rudy. Besides Rudy’s bonafides as a successful administrator and leader, on the pro life issue in particular, Rudy told the Governor that he would pick strict constructionist judges for the bench, and that he would not undo any pro life laws or rules.

We had a lousy choice in 2008. I supported Duncan Hunter, then Fred Thompson. We saw where that got me and others like me.

Perry didn’t have to endorse anyone. But apparently he felt like he needed to. And for awhile, Rudy was leading all the polls. Then he did a strange thing and guaranteed his defeat, in how he chose to mount his campaign.

I write this not to attempt any MIND CHANGING on Rick Perry, but to show that the pro life issue was squarely on his mind and he put it squarely to Rudy, and he accepted his word on what he would do if elected President.

McCain has a loose screw. I mostly attribute it to his captivity, but for all I know it could be more than that.

Perry is very pro military and if he knew of McCain’s lose screw, he is forthright enough to act on that knowledge rather than hunker down and hope for the best.
