I recall that post, you are correct about it. I think I responded to it with an annecdotal story about a conversation I had with my cousin when I tried to convince him to vote for any candidate running against the monster. He said to me, don’t get worked up about it, they are all the same guy, just different titles.

The more I see, the more my younger cousin is correct. With the exception of a very few, no one wishes to upset the apple cart. In a world that was not one of right or wrong or political, just right or wrong, this guy would have been out on his ass long ago. Did not happen and won’t happen after the Clinton fiasco.

Again, Hussein the assclown indicts himself. IF HE CAN DO ALL THESE ACTIONS WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL, WHY DID HE WAIT THREE DAMN YEARS TO DO IT?

He is either stupid for not “helping” earlier, or evil for waiting this long.

And THAT is assuming his actions really help...which is open to debate.

My greatest fear is that the Republicans will nominate another McCane or Dole and Obama will get re-elected. Should that happen Obama will increasingly rule by executive fiat, will assume more powers and become a virtual dictator like Caesar Chavez. At that point only an armed rebellion or military coup will oust him from power.

Is anything in this country sacrosanct to this man? Is there no law, no rule or convention that he would consider sacred enough to say, "I guess I've done all I can here," and then leave well enough alone?

Liberals like him--if they could get their hands on the Constitution--would run it through a cross-cut shredder without blinking, if they could get them in the same room together.

One more important point that often gets overlooked or forgotten:

Hussein is probably on somewhat solid legal ground, as I think he is using an already established program...but THE PROBLEM is that the program even exists. Article I, section 1--the very FIRST sentence of the body of the Constitution--says ALL legislative powers belong to Congress. What has happened since the 1930s, and what has to be REVERSED, is that Congress is, by statute, ceding lae-making power to the executive branch. The Constitution DOES give the President the ability to recommend, and of course to handle many aspects of foreign affairs, but NOT to create legislation for domestic affairs. Bureaucrats have been given way too much leeway, and I think Congress has abdicated its responsibility in the law making area. Of course over-active judges are a problem, too. But I think folks often forget the congressional element; when you have the whole branch merely shoving off their job onto the executive, disaster is bound to be in store.

See post 27.

The general welfare clause is a good one; the proper interpretation allots CONGRESS power to authorize action that benefits the nation as a whole...it has nothing to do with liberty crushing handouts.

The problem with the general welfare clause is it has no limitations on its use...hense we have an explosion of departments, programs and agencies none of which the framers had any idea would ever be authorized under the constitution.

I just wonder - do you think Zero has taken into consideration the large number of well trained and well armed troops who are stationed within minutes of the White House.

Hmmm... I’m just asking.
