Obama Email: Administration Prepared to "Act" Without Congressional Approval
Pundit Press ^ | 10/25/11 | Aurelius

In a mass email sent out late Monday evening, the Obama campaign promised to "act" in order to create jobs, even if Congress disapproves.

The message, under the subject "We can't wait," states in part:

Today, [President Obama] announced new rules on federal mortgages to prevent more families from losing their homes to foreclosure. And that's just the beginning...

If Congress doesn't act, he will -- because millions of Americans can't just wait for Congress to do their jobs. That's why thousands of you have been calling and tweeting your representatives over the past month, joining the President in sending a message to lawmakers in Washington that they need to act now.

We're not just going to continue to wait...

This is in stark contrast to then-candidate Obama's promise never to use executive orders.

Obama is nothing more than a used car salesman.

"Buy this car at this low price - but you have to buy it now"!

You can't think about it overnight and come back tomorrow - the price will have gone up!

Buy it Now! Now! Now!

Obama is making an heroic effort to be FDR rather than Nixon. FDR at least had the rubber-stamp approval of Congress in his early days, being held back only because of a balky Supreme Court, which held many of FDR’s initiatives to be unConstitutional.

Come to think of it, much if not most of the agenda passed and signed into law in 2009 and 2010 probably would have long since been declared unConstitutional if the judiciary had not long ago been politicized at the district, circuit and appeals level.

If he does anything that is outside the Constitution then he will be impeached.

He is not above the Constitution and any attempt on his part to cut out the Congress will cause far m ore damage to this country than it ever will help.

If he tries to do this, he needs to be impeached. Otherwise the whole ‘balance of power’ concept is rendered meaningless. I guess we’ll see if there is any real leadership left on the Republican side. Somehow I doubt it.

Obomber is unable to govern unless he has an overwhelming majority, thus his edict to ignore Congress.

Shut up, Citizen. Get to work (if you have a job), pay your taxes and move along. There is nothing to see here.

“If he does anything that is outside the Constitution then he will be impeached.”

Republican Congressmen had better be working on their ‘Plan B’ for immediate action once “O” OPENLY steps over the line... (and yes, I realize there is much “O” has already done that is not legitimate in the traditional sense)

BUT-I think sidestepping Congress (with the expectation that Congress will roll over and plays dead) would be the LIMIT!!!

He will not be impeached. The Republicans in the House won't have the stones. And the Democrats in the Senate think the Constitution is obsolete anyway, and so will not convict.

I dislike arguing with a fellow freeper but there is no one with the gonads to take this commie on first of all and second there is no way the senate would ever convict this monster even if he were impeached which is not a probability anyway.

Simple solution: Ignore them. They have no force of law.

The Congress has become a rubber stamp over the years, not just with this monster. We need a revamp of the original document defining and specifying the branch powers specifically or king wanabees like this SOB will continue to flaunt the rule of law. First order of business is remove any reference of general welfare from the preamble. Amplify the rights reserved to the states. Give the right of redress to the supreme court to individual states directly in matters of abridgment of powers by the central government.

A democrat congress would never let a republican president get away with this. That is why obama must make his move now, before any 2011 election can take place, to install himself as dictator. He has the means, because of the democrat senators, to complete his goal of the fundamental transformation of the United States of America.

Has anyone heard a peep out of republican “leaders” about any of this?

Your assessment is correct. But, I like another Freeper whose name that I cannot recall, no longer believe that it is a lack of balls by the Republican Party that prevents them from stopping him. It is bacause that they also consider themselves members of the ruling class.
