‘bout time. I saw this. How a conservative can vote for Newt is beyond me. And how anyone thinks he can be trusted .... well ... I am stunned if they do.

This was the best interview of this guy to date. He was forced to answer for his record and the responses were shocking. It just showed that Newts defaults are set to Progressivism. Anyone who thinks there will be any changes in Washington to save the country, if Newt wins, are gravely mistaken.

I miss Glenn Beck on FOX!!!! Can’t stand “the five” except for Greg G - too much cackling, too much talking over each other, too much silliness, short skirts, eeeegads!! Bring Beck Back!!!!!!!!

What in particular about that interview was so shocking? Take the answer about prescription drugs under medicare. His point was that if Medicare was going to pay for heart surgery, it makes sense to pay for Lipitor which might save paying for a more costly surgery later on.

And if anyone says: “Let’s just abolish Medicare altogher” -good luck winning any election with that platform. I sincerely doubt that any senior, or someone who takes care of a senior parent wants medicare to go away.

It was a very revealing and hard hitting interview.

And it’s still between Newt and Romney. None of the other candidates who had traction at one point show any realistic (and rational) expectation they’ll recapture that. For the others, there’s not enough time.

That’s not a value judgement, it’s just reality.

I appreciate GB not holding back on asking the hard. Now if he would just do the same with the other candidates...

When Beck gets Romney and Obama on his show to do the same, then I will be impressed.

Do you ever post anything that isn't designed to stir the pot and cause dissension here?

Not that I can see from viewing your posting history

When it comes to Global Warming, and Big Government I don’t think there is much difference between Newt and Romney. I think they sit in about the same place on the scale of conservatism. But Newt is a Washington insider in the worse way and that if anything bothers Beck the most.

I don’t think sounded any worse on these answers than he did on his immigration answer last month (you know the one where his poll numbers went UP instead of DOWN). In fact, I think he sounds quite reasonable. You can only bend a twig back so far the other way before it snaps. The left got us here in a million tiny steps and now we think we’re gonna turn the tide in one election? Good luck with that.

Beck is RINO.

GOP needs to adapt and be more trendy and modern. Newt is the man to lead the way by setting an example. That is called real leadership.

Global Warming is settled science so we must embrace it. Individual ObamaCare mandate is constitional and fine, as Newt pointed out. Ethanol subsidies are needed and we should stop that extremist rightwinger Paul Ryan trying to reform entitlements. We must also push for Amnesty, otherwise mexicans do not like us. This is what modern conservatism should be one. After all, Era of Reagan is over.

Go Newt!

This Medigap & Medicare stuff is exhausting. They set time limits on when you HAVE to get Medigap. They KNOW old people get sick, procrastinate, let stuff slide, get involved with their own elderly parents, grandchildren, and so forth, until before they know what hits them, their TIME IS UP to get Medigap. Then they have to pay a penalty for being “late”. Of course, the deductibles they have to pay are awful.

Then when I consider Senator Simpson’s health care plan; I’m even more aware of the inequities. I spent the day today lining up Medigap; even then I’ll have a 6 month waiting period on pre-existing conditions. Oh well, I never counted on getting by on my charm; unlike Senator Simpson and Nancy Pelosi.

As an aside; I don’t think I should get freebies; contrary to Senator Simpson’s ideas about how “greedy” I am. So far, Medicare hasn’t paid squat for me this year so far. Nor do I expect them to do so.

Right, so you think the $75 covers the Fire Departments expenses. Not a single tax dollar supports them?

So when will beck be doing a hit piece on his mormon buddies?
