I understand supporting Newt because he the best of a bad group that have a chance. Don’t kid yourself in thinking he’s a conservative though. Unfortunately the only consistent conservative in the race, Santorum and Bachmann, are at the bottom of the pack. I don’t understand all this rah rah Newt stuff. Let him be the nominee. Vote for him. But don’t be excited about it.

I will proudly support whoever we end up with. I just have a current opinion on who that should be. Hell, I would even vote for Ma “Corndog Eatin’” Bachmann if I have to. I doubt that’ll be the case though.

Why does Santorum gets a pass for his love of big government? Is it his social message? He’s a nation building interventionist neocon who embraced Medicare Part D even pointing to it as a model for other reforms during earlier debates although later he’s flip-flopped regretting his vote for it.
