I'm disappointed. For two reasons.

#1, Cain shoudn't be saying this stuff. To my knowledge he hasn't endorsed anyone. Sounds like sour grapes to me and does not speak well of him. Fact is, Governor Perry has run a very large state with a large and complex economy. He's in his third term there and is the longest sitting governor in the country and the longest in Texas histoyr. Clearly, millions of people in Texas like him, whatever other faults not with standing.

#2, Perry should not even respond. He should ignore this. If he has any hope of getting back in the race, he has much more important things to worry about. He should keep pushing jobs, his reduced term congress, foreign policy, etc.

Anyhow...a really wierd election cycle this...precisely when the GOP and conservatives need a very strong and well oiled machine.

You may be right. I’m sure Laura baited him with the Cain quote. She is quite the nasty piece of work herself.

I suppose he could have said something noncommital like, ‘Obviously I disagree with Mr. Cain, but since he’s withdrawn, I won’t get into it with him.

Agreed. Both sound like sniping children.
