Yes he is in the liberal states. Now that we have moved onto Conservative South Carolina Newt moves ahead. GO NEWT GO!

Actually, Newt does better among moderates and independents. Santorum does better among conservatives than Newt does.

Look at the counties that Santorum won in Iowa - Newt did best in the liberal areas that support Obama. Santorum did best in the republican heartland in central Iowa.

Yes, I know it’s counter intuitive, but that’s what the data says.

Photobucket Read it and weep. Santorum missed 10 counties that McCain won, but won 35/45 of the McCain counties. Perry won 2, Paul won 2 and Newt won 6 of 45 McCain counties. The majority of Newt counties came out of Obama counties, not McCain. Clearly Newt's support comes primarily from moderates, not conservatives.
