This is the thing--Newt is always a commanding presence compared to his rivals. Only the determined efforts of a few to dwell on the negatives have hamstrung his campaign. You have to question their motives.

Santorum wouldn't have a chance up against Obama's billion dollar lying, deceitful, mud slinging campaign, whereas Gingrich would take Obama to the woodshed at every turn.
