I don’t think 99% of people even understand Perry’s Immigration stance.
He is Against illegal immigration.
Always was.
He didn’t articulate it well in the debates I watched.
I waited for him to push, “We are not allowed to deport directly, and the Federal Government mandates we supply benefits to the illegals until they are deported, so this is why we allow instate tuition in order to help them to be productive instead of a drain on our state.”
I would have loved it, if he said that we want to be able to directly deport illegal immigrants and as president, I will promote legislation to allow states to deport on their own or to send captured illegals to border states to handle the deportation on a subcontract bases.
Make capturing and deporting a business. Also, even though I hate “turning in your neighbor” stuff, some thing you should turn in your neighbor on. Offer rewards for people who turn in businesses who have illegal labor. The business needs to show they did due diligence by running the employee information (whether it is forged or not) through e-verify.
E-verify needs to trigger silent alerts to local or state law enforcement on duplicate usage of Social Security numbers, made up Social Security numbers, and other suspicious information. The state needs to be able to then pick up the illegal and directly deport or send them to a deportation state. Set up a pool of money that we are now wasting on ineffective INS stuff. Have the states get those dollars based on the number of deportations.
Perry ran a dignified campaign. He left with dignity. I know that Gingrich won’t forget that. Cain on the other hand accused Perry of being behind the sexual allegations. He made that accusation without and proof. Not sure how many others were blamed too but it wasnt JUST the msm that Herman blamed. He did not exit the campaign with grace.
