I maintain some slight hope that what she is doing is part of a great plan that remains to unfold. But I get the bad feeling that she did exactly what Herman Cain did for the exact same reason. Whatever I think of Newt, I’m glad to see him fighting this and not backing down. That is the only way we can stop the MSM’s destruction of our candidates. We gotta have their back, but we also gotta have a candidate who won’t cave in to it. GO NEWT!

Reddon, Palin didn't do what Cain did. She never entered the race at all, there is a big difference in entering and dropping out and not entering. Palin's family didn't want her to run, they had had enough of the BS the media was dishing out. Also, she has a very young baby to think about, one that is very vulnerable to stupid attacks and one that has already been the victim of such attacks. Sarah doesn't "have a plan", nor does she need one, other than supporting conservatives in the races.

She has nothing to be ashamed of nor does she owe you, or any other voter, anything. She paid her dues, too bad there are such ignorant boobs as you on FR who still try to smear her.

In Cain's defense he had just gotten to the point where he knew he couldn't win, why continue?

Sure she did. They both decided and announced that they didn't want to run for President in 2012. I suspect it was for the same reason, bad treatment by the press, and anticipated even worse treatment by the press in the future. I hope Newt continues to stand strong against this.
