Rush is all about Rush. He is mostly thinking of his ratings. He stays luke warm on candidates, so not to anger their supporters. If you haven't noticed, he always plays both ends. He likes to be seen as neutral, and mostly attacks Obama from a strong Conservative position.
Most all Republican candidates are off limits for strong criticism. We will see, if Rush finally takes a strong stand for a candidate, but I am not betting on it.
I don’t agree that Hannity is a moderate. But he seems that way sometimes cuz he is playing to ratings and is stifled by Fox News and the ultimate desire to keep his job.
What bothers me about Rush is that he seems to always be on defense. I love his views on everything Conservative but now as in ‘08, he’s reacting to Obama and his actions constantly and somewhat frantically.
Notice how many times all of these talk show hosts use the word Obama.
And lately, it seems like he is all over the place with his analyses.
The main points of most of his shows can be summed up in one paragraph.
I still love Maharushi but my main go to guy is and always has been Levin. He says it like it is, doesn’t give a rat’s arse what anyone thinks of him(unlike his buddy Hannity) and is a core Constitutionalist and a brilliant scholar and teacher of it.
I just got his new book Ameritopia from Amazon. Book reviews anyone?
Good analysis. I have absolutely no doubt that Rush is a hard core Conservative. I think Rush knows and trusts that the Conservatives will mostly on their own gravitate to the "clearest" conservative in the race.
Rush rightly wouldn't want the media to use his direct endorsement to say Candidate X won because of his influence.
It will be interesting to see how he weaves it this week.
