Lastly, the governor summed up their relationship, saying, "We both love our country...and we just fundamentally disagree in how getting there.

I strongly disagree with the governor! She loves our country, but Obama hates the U.S.A.!

Jan, next time don’t veto a “birther bill”. He is not natural born anyway you look at it and the Constitution needs to be upheld!

His greatest asset according to Obots is how wonderful and nice he is. It would be great if the not so nice Obama came out in such a way that they were couldn’t help but notice. They think of him like a “Mr. Rogers” or a “Father Knows Best” type only much nicer, squeaky clean and oh so very, very wonderful.

Not pedantic,
Petulant.

There's more than one York, more than one Virgin island, more than one Brunswick; Medina, Riverside, Long Beach, Saigon, London, Ontario, Orleans, Laredo, Nogales, Memphis...........

OK?

MrDaddyLongLegs, txhurl, I hope you don’t mind me butting in!

I know a little about American Samoa, but Samoa, not so much. I got curious and looked it up:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samoa

The country has a proud and spirited tradition; the national anthem is “The Banner of Freedom”:

(English translation)

“Samoa, arise and raise your flag, your crown!
Samoa, arise and raise your flag, your crown!
Look at those stars that are waving on it:
This is the symbol of Jesus, who died on it for Samoa.
Oh, Samoa, hold fast your power forever.
Do not be afraid; God is our foundation, our freedom.
Samoa, arise: your flag is waving, your crown!”

How cool is THAT???!!!

He’s NOT the President. Thus no words are needed.

I wouldn’t call it pendantic OR petulant. More like justifiable pride... :-)

Do we have anyone from American Samoa on FR? I have a question:

According to Wikipedia, unemployment in American Samoa was 29.8 % in 2005. 2041 workers were laid off in 2009 due to Chicken of the Sea closing down their tuna canning plant in response to U.S. minimum wage legislation being forced upon the territory in 2007 (by Republican action, no less!) and despite the protests of the local gov’t. Yet in 2010, unemployment is stated to be 23.8%. (I am not sure if this is before or after FURTHER layoffs at Starkist, in 2010.) The total population in 2007 was only 68,200 people (growing at an average of 2.3% per year.)

So, the question is, where are the jobs coming from, or is this another case of baloney unemployment statistics?

To be clear, the local gov’t of American Samoa was fighting to have the minimum wage NOT apply to the territory, as they knew that would force the layoffs.

When the truth about obama comes out—and it will—the nation will be shocked. Remember when JFK was shot? It took years before the people learned he was a scum bag. BUT the truth will come out.

Maybe this will be Obama at his last press conference, before heading to Newt's Inauguration:
