As of noon today: The doctor informed us that the 'scopes they performed in surgery showed some esophageal varices, but that was not where the bleed was. There was a 15cm length of bowel they could not see by scope or by CT scan, so they are performing scan today where they inject a microscopic "marker" in her blood and watch to see where it goes. When it exits an artery into the lumen of her intestine, that will be the source of her bleed. They can then work on closing the bleed.
Jasmine is still losing blood, but at a much slower rate. Her hematocrit dropped 1.6 percent in 4 hours, from 26.9 to 25.3. She will probably be getting another couple of units of "the house red" today.
