Rush was forced to admit it was a pile of Bull the next day, a fact that he already knew, but he used it to kill Newt anyway.
You haven’t cleared up whether 1989 was when you became a Rush listener, you said it was, and then denied it later, claiming to have started before he went national, before he left Sacramento.
You are ASSUMING that Rush knew it was "Bull"... and, used it anyway. You can believe that if you want... I don't agree.

Cleared up? I didn't realize this was such a controversy.
Here are my "Rush Credentials":-)
I first started listening to Rush sometime in August of 1988 (not '89) in Houston.. on 700 KSEV radio.
The very first thing I heard when I tuned in was: Andy Williams singing 'Born Free'... the theme for Animal Rights updates. I thought it was hilarious, and was immediately hooked.
I've never stopped listening.
I was a charter subscriber for the newsletter, own first printings of both books, and have been a subscriber or Rush 24 since the first day it was offered.
When I lived in Louisiana, I used to join friends in a RUSH ROOM at a local BBQ spot. While we ate, the restaraunt owner played Rush loudly on the radio. Since I WORK during the day... I generally only get to hear the first hour. Sometimes, when news is particularly interesting, I'll catch the other hours later, on the internet.
I DO travel quite a bit... and, when I'm on the road, I ALWAYS listen to whole show in the evenings. Especially when I'm overseas...
I know Rush. I GET Rush... When people ask me if I "like Rush Limbaugh"... I tell them : "No, I AM Rush Limbaugh.. only better looking and without the money". :-)
I don't ALWAYS agree with Rush...but, it's a rare day when I don't. And, it's usually more of a tactical thing, rather than substance.
I think Rush likes Newt Gingrich.... quite a lot. But, he's still going to speak about whatever the "news of the day is"... whether it's good, or bad for Newt.
