I liked her blog. She's a good writer and packs some humor in there. I remember EOD school as I was a structural engineer( non com at first) and it was mandatory in my training. Some reason I could jump out of planes and rappel and climb and swim with the sharks and walk point in some crusty forth world nation but EOD was NOT for me. I would be the:

"U Suck in the EOD suck division in the country of THEE SUCK,' signed "cap'n big load scaredy pants!"

Okay yeah I passed the course but these days what your daughter does, well hey I must thank her, pray for her and am d*mned impressed, God bless her. Man that is nervy stressfulll work. I HATED it! In the early to mid eighties cold war and black ops there were no cell phones like this but bimbers are generally the most deviously imaginative in ways to take a leg, and arm a head or a whole unit gone. Okay enough from me but I would like to send this to a friend who was our EOD specialist in the unit that always said it took balls to do what he does....heh, your daughter is truly going to flush this mans pride a little.

The picture from the hill gives a whole new meaning to the term hostile territory. Each one of of those adobe walled compounds is like a fort and the are hundreds of them in that valley.
