I was just telling my girlfriend about Exeter. Fantastic character and I don’t even know the actor. But that character made an indelible impression on me.
Doug Exeter?
Thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, I was referring to the Shaw wines. I’ve not had the Merlot yet, though I think I’ll steer clear of that one, LOL. The Chardonnay I had was a decent table wine and good for cooking, which is what I use most of the wine buy for anyway. I’ll definitely look for the Italian offerings you mentioned - thanks again!
Exeter would make an even BIGGER impression on you if you knew what other character the same actor played. My article covers this. Let's just say the other character was the exact OPPOSITE of Exeter. Shall we say the un-Exeter. It was as if R. Lee Ermey, after playing the role of Sgt. Hartman in "Full Metal Jacket," switched gears and convincingly portrayed Gandhi on the big screen. Anyway, here are details of my second article. Oh, and these articles are made FREE for about 5 days every 3 months so you can access when it is a freebie:
Was Exeter the best unknown actor in Hollywood? Few people today remember the actor who portrayed Exeter in "This Island Earth," Jeff Morrow, but I have found evidence that he was one of the most versatile actors with a stunning range of performances from the benign unworldy Exeter to the brutal, thuggish, and very worldly Roman centurion, Paulus, in "The Robe."
The tragedy is that Morrow's broad acting range was never really put to good use but the case is made here that "Exeter" is indeed perhaps the greatest "unknown" actor to hit the big screen.
Oh, and Mary Matalin...YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!
p.s. And THANX to all those purchasing my article!
I notice that Pitt is still CLUELESS about Kindle publishing. Is he going to continue to open mommy’s checkbook when he want to publish yet another vanity book? His Iraq book written along with his currently incarcerated co-author who is now serving a 5 1/2 year prison term (mandatory that he serve a MINIMUM of 1 1/2 years) now ranks at 1,328,561. Can there possibly be any books lower on the totem pole?
Cope and Change. Good one!
