18 POINTS, Sorry not satisfied yet. Do you know how hard it is to lose by 18 points? NO sitting incumbent lost by more than 10 in a very bad year. Somehow, someone found some stuff that made it hard for him to win. I would like to know what that is. NO, I am not satisfied at this point. I think there is a possiblity that the voters soured on him. WHY? That is all, why? It would be good to know before we send him up against Obama, don’t you think. I know this is easy for you, but not for me. This election is too important.

I don ‘ t care if you’re satisfied or not truth be told. What I do know is that you are woefully ill informed and if you support either Romney or Newt you are supporting a guy who favored individual mandates with penalties under law for failing to comply with the unconstitutional dictates from the fedguv. And they supported it for decades. So spare me the balogna.

In 2006 15 republican senate incumbents ran for re-election. Nine republicans won and six lost. Santorum was one of the minority of GOP senators who lost his seat.

You're right, facile explanations of "it was a bad year" don't wash.
