Completely agree. The left will now be relentless in their attacks on ALL of those who continue to sponsor Rush (save, possibly, Two if By Tea).
I have been listening to Rush since the late 80's (when he was local on KFBK Sacramento) and in my opinion ...he will never be the same. He is now damaged goods.
I can see new sponsors (and perhaps existing ones as well) putting riders into their agreements that Rush will not talk about certain things.
Though he will continue to be witty and a solid voice for conservatism, I believe Rush using the absurd to point out the absurd is now a thing of the past. We all get used to our life style and I don't think Rush is in any hurry to give up the mansion or the private jet.
For the record, I don't begrudge him one bit for what he has accomplished and acquired over the past few decades.
Let’s just all face facts: the discourse in this country is changing faster than we could have ever believed. What was once acceptable is now so utterly PC it throws you for a loop. Rush will survive and I do agree with you that his speech will probably be tempered because of legal agreements. We are seriously watching the end of free speech. It will be squashed no matter what we say or do. As far as Rush selling out as I have witnessed here, what on earth is he suppose to do in this case. He has been carrying our water for years. So he made a great deal of money? I applaud his enteprenourial spirit, not begrudge it as some seem to on this thread. Let’s get real, he says things to get an audience and he has done a phenomal job keeping my attention and teaching me for 20 years.
