Here are some examples from petroleum crude oil, natural gas, Fuels: like gasoline, diesel, Kerosene, propane (many people use propane to heat their homes), heating oil Heavy bottoms, like asphalt, bitumen, tar Petrochemicals, used as a feedstock for many everyday products: plastic gadgets, tools, bags, toys, candles, clothing: polyester, nylon, hand lotions, petroleum jelly, perfume, dishwashing liquids, ink, bubble gums, car tires, ammonia, heart valves, lipstick and many more. Ethane and other short-chain alkanes which are used as fuel Diesel, Fuel oils, Petrol, Jet fuel, Kerosene, Liquid petroleum gas(LPG), Natural gas, Alkenes (olefins) which can be manufactured into plastics or other compounds. Lubricants: light machine oils, motor oils, and greases, Wax, used in the packaging of frozen foods, among others. Sulfur or Sulfuric acid. Either put up or shut up!

Exactly. Show me a windmill or a solar panel that can power a car.

Windmills and solar replace coal, not oil.

If oil is a fuel of the past, I think Obama should shun AF-1, he needs a whole ‘nother motorcade, I also think Obama and family should live COMPLETELY green!

No hair products or makeup for the family, hand woven cotton or silk clothing, no heating or cooling in the WH unless it is solar. Only solar driven lights, ice-coolers for refrigeration as all those moving parts do require oil. That is a start.

You and your family go first, Mr. President! After all, you are the first family.

If we didn’t have oil, where would we get the ashphalt to pave the roads for those shovel ready jobs?
