"Both of these can only occur in nuclear reactions." ~ well, there you have it Johnny B. ~ CAST IN STONE ~ no doubt. I gather Gamow Tunneling doesn't exist anymore.

Sure, it's a "nuclear" reaction ~ but we all know that you have in mind only HOT HIGH ENERGY NUCLEAR REACTIONS.

Gamow Tunneling is not limited to that venue though. It can involve a single atom of hydrogen (if you wait long enough).

So what I'd like you to do is tell us that you don't believe Gamow Tunneling is relevant ~ nor does it exist ~ nor can it affect only a single atom.

Just do it man. You're among friends. We'll understand.

UL is not all it's cracked up to be. We were buying 1500 or so brand new load cell based postal scales and the guy had his production ready model ready for first article testing.

So, he'd gone to UL and it was OK. So, we did our test and observed that the set screw for the adjustable legs would, in its travel, cut through the main power cord.

TEST YOUR OWN STUFF NO MATTER WHAT.

Wonder, JB has been on again, off again, in any sort of serious discussion ~ "cycling" I believe they used to call it. Comes and goes ~ check Autumnal and Vernal Equinox.

However, he keeps remembering that all of this stuff has to work, if at all, in comformance with the various "laws" discovered in research into nuclear and electro-weak forces.

He always ignores GAMOW TUNNELING, which is a general rule, and the very one that made it possible to think things through to designing a reactor to create a radioactive pile.

Makes it annoying as hell to discuss anything with him ~
