It is amazingly difficult to guard a fence without stationing the bulk of your guard force on that fence.

And Rick Perry was hammered on this forum because he was less than enthusiastic about fencing off the Rio Grande.

Yea, and they would rather use their UAV’s to spy on American citizens than smugglers and illegals, I’m sure.

Or you could throw them over, drive them thru, get a plane, dig a tunnel, hire a crooked cop, use a boat, or even sink a submarine.

lotsa choices

A little bottle jack will quietly defeat most doors in most structures. The rest is just an exercise in engineering.

Have you not heard, we can defend the DMZ for over a century in Korea, but the military cannot defend our own border.

That is a fact! Oh well, lots of freepers had some other agenda for the sliming Perry, like 999, Palin-wishers, Bachmann, Paul or even closet Mittens.

Governor Rick Perry was trashed on the Free Republic continuously for his low opinion of a border fence. I showed numerous pictorials of ways to defeat the fence and descriptions of ways to defeat a fence if it were electrified. None of these fence-nicks had no clue to the geography that was being considered and compared it to the Berlin Wall or a fence around a penal institution. To no avail. The fence-nicks kept on trashing Perry.

999? I confess to ignorance of that one?

If we want to stop border crossings we need to look at it like the DMZ.
We need to place a minefield on the US side.

I was going to suggest the Israeli system but you beat me to it! It has been extremely effective at keeping out the Muzzie terrorists. But putting that up on our border might constitute a hate crime against Mexicans if it was built.

“Have you not heard, we can defend the DMZ for over a century in Korea, but the military cannot defend our own border.”

I kept harping about placing landmines but a “number” of Freepers think I’m too right-wing for that. You don’t like landmines, then how about pointed spikes or motion-activated machine guns..
