Santorum’s slander of Zimmerman is a distortion of the truth.
Pot, meet Kettle.
Who says it's a slander. He was an Obummer supporter. That shows mental illness right there.
No, its not pot meet kettle.
Santorum was responding to the version that was the offered to him at the time. Unless there is probable cause to believe that oneself or the public is in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury, the use of deadly force to take the life of a non-threatening unarmed individual (which was the known record at the time) is against the law. Santorum was posed a question about the state of facts at the time. Since then we have had the facts in a state of flux. So don’t try bringing Zimmerman into this. It’s utterly and completely irrelevant.
Zimmerman's pursuit of a drug-addled Trayvon incurred the risk that the kid would think of him as an attacker. Certainly Zimmerman had the right to defend his life, but he did exercise a judgement very possibly based upon race that shouldn't have put him in that position. So if it was the bases of Zimmerman's choice to pursue that Santorum was talking about, it would not be a slander. In any event, he should not have commented at all, holding that it was a matter for local law enforcement.
