Have you ever noticed how much the SCOTUS is starting to resemble The Muppets?

What role does the Chief Justice of SCOTUS have as apposed to the other Justices? Can he impose any restrictions on the other Justices? Does he have any control over the court?

Holder will have her in an orange jump suit quicker than you can say contempt of congress.

John, you get me every time! :-)
This line is very good!
” ‘The most important job for a judge is to mete out justice,’ Kagan asserted. ‘Mere parchmentwhether it be a Constitution or a statutecannot be allowed to infringe upon this solemn duty. Ensuring that everyone has health care epitomizes the Presidents quest for justice. I will do everything I can to aid this quest.’ “

I get snookered by this semi satire stuff everytime. I typically get to the second or third paragraph before I figure it out. Very sad that this could be true.

One hopes that 5 of the 9 Supremes read this.
Besides, whether a person is brought up on charges for an alleged violation of the law is at the prosecutors discretion, Kagan added. Does anyone seriously believe that Attorney General Holder would press charges against me for seeking to defend the health care law from its right-wing assailants? The two of us worked long and hard to craft the Administrations legal defense of the law. Were on the same team.
Another fine column John. Thanks for keeping a healthy amount of "semi" in the "semi-satire".

Glad I checked or you would have had me again. This is just to close to reality. She needs to be impeached and would be if we had any Republican politicians with some guts.

This obvious violation should get her impeached. It is clearly a conflict that she should have recused herself. Her association and her rabid support of Sharia Law will be the next conflict of interest.
To: John Semmens
Kagan rounded out her case for self-confidence saying if by some freak occurrence I were to be impeached and convicted, is there any doubt that I would be pardoned by President Obama? I assure you, Im not worried. At that point, I glanced back at the name of the poster. Since getting ousted from the Supreme Court is not a criminal matter and cannot be cured by a presidential pardon. LOL!

To: John Semmens
Kagan is verbally flipping off the sanctity of her appointed office and putting real meaning into the phrase "thicker than thieves...."
She is correct; her anti-Constitutional friend/co-conspirator in the highest of places will protect her, no matter how unethical or un-Constitutional her refusal to recuse. Kagan should be impeached and her opinion on Obamacare should be nullified. No one in America is above the law, and that includes Kagan.
To: John Semmens
If she violates US Code...that would just be poetic justice if obamacare is overturned AND she were to be impeached by congress for trying to improperly influence the obamacare decision (and obama loses in Nov). God, this is my prayer...A chance for a 6/3 conservative SCOTUS.
