If Romney want to win this nomination on the floor of the convention, he will have to repudiate RomneyCare.

I hope he does, but even if he doesn't I can't allow B.H.0. a second term. It just means we have to work double to get conservatives in congress.

Face it, the G.O.P. sold conservatives down the river again.

I will vote for GOP downticket........getting a GOP Congress at least will neutralize Obama in his second term.....the problem is if Romney somehow does beat Obama, there goes our chance to field a decent GOP candidate in 2016 to run against Romney.

We have to agree to disagree on this one. IMHO, nothing is more important than unseating B.H.0. If we get Romney and then a conservative congress, the congress will blunt anything new, they'll submit a repeal bill and Mittens will sign it. He's not an ideologue when all is said and done. In 2016 it will be Mittens and another Dem. I can almost guarantee they won't dare put up another radical/revolutionary. They'd have to put someone up like Lieberman, someone more centerist.

OTOH, after 2 terms of B.H.O. who will we get? Someone like Joe Stalin on the Dem side, and the GOP will put up someone like 0bama , and he'll be the "conservative" in the race.

I don't like the choices either but unfortunately we lost our chance to get a real conservative, maybe we never really had a chance at all with the current GOP leadership. I personally thought we had a shot with Cain, but he should have been better vetted beforehand. Newt is no conservative and the others didn't have a chance.

One of my favorite quotes:

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Translated into English from an article appearing in the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2010

Pretty much says it all!

Obama Is The Symptom Not The Problem

True enough.

Truth is, if I met him in a pub, and didn't know he was the President of the United States, I would probably have a few drinks with him. I might even make a friend.

He seems little too full of himself. That doesn't mean he's the anti-Christ, or a pathological narcissist, or a Marxist Muslim out to destroy the country, but having a drink with him probably wouldn't be a very pleasant experience. What would you actually talk about?

That theme is Subsidiarity

Good point, actually.

No I don't hate Barack Obama. He's just the latest link in a long chain of federal abuse going all the way back to the American Civil War.

Plenty of abuse before the Civil War, too. Think about human nature and the nature of government, not about some mythical PAWIAWW.*

Today, if you are not angry, you are either not paying attention or you are terminally stupid.

Agreed. They say the center of the sun is 35 million degrees Fahrenheit. My anger, hatred and disdain for the current leadership make that pale in comparison.

A big part of why we have so much trouble with these things is that we have always believed in the Ideal of America, and we knew very little of the Reality of America!
Take away the ideal...there’s not anything like reality left.

political potties, education/indoctrination, history, etc.—all bs.

There is info out there if i look for it.

For instance, William Buppert’s The God That Failed...you’ll have to find it yourself...no pimping allowed y’know...

3) Hold your nose & vote Mittens - Yeah I hate this one too , and I'm tired of the lesser of 2 evils, but this is not Clinton or Carter we're dealing with. Regular corruption (Clinton) or incompetence (Carter) we can survive. Barry Sotoro OTOH is a revolutionary. He's the Manchurian candidate. All the "change" Bill Ayres et al couldn't get through terrorism, they're getting without firing a shot under the kenyan /Marxist.

Yeah, I do agree. Romney is a lot of things we don't like, but at least he does not hate the country like Bammy does. If I had the choice of who I want to take that 3 AM phone call, Romney wins hands down over Bammy. As to Romneycare, he is correct legally, it could be left to each State to decide, but wrong in principle, socialized medicine does not work. We cannot suicide ourselves here and cut our nose off to spite our face. We survived under Clinton, he was more like Boss Hogg, but Bammy is a revolutionary, a Communist one. I'd even take a Boss Hogg over Chairman Mao or Hugo Chavez any day.

Well said. He’s no less an enemy than Hitler, Stalin or Putin.

Our enemies are watching all this in amazement and disgust. They hate people like 0bama.

Exactly, except he is in our borders and calling the shots. "A nation can survive from its enemies without but nit within," i I may repeat Cicero here. Pravda is more truthful than our media. Even Radio China and Habana Cuba, once you separate the chaff, especially the latter, you get more truth.

Our enemies are laughing at us and our allies are just shrugging their shoulders.

Good title, bad article.

Obama is a symptom.

Obama is not THE problem but he is A problem.

He is a diehard Muslim communist.

He bowed to the Saudi King and threw the political and military might of the USA to overthrow secular dictators in favor of radical Muslim governments in 5 foreign nations including Egypt and Libya.

He has brought the US economy to the brink of collapse (Cloward Piven style) by raising government debt an order of magnitude faster than any previous US president.

He has filled government at every level with rabid communists, including his “czars”.

He has expanded government power more than any US president since FDR or at least Johnson.

Yes, he is A problem. He is only a symptom, because if Obama had never existed, George Soros would have just bought another individual to be the figurehead and do his bidding. But Obama is a problem, and he LOVES taking orders from Soros because he agrees with everything Soros requests of him.

Yes, Obama is a problem. Anybody who thinks there is only a slight difference between him or baby bush or Daddy Bush or Nixon, has an IQ less than 3.

No, we can’t survive Obamacare. It is why priority 1 is getting rid of Obama. If conservatives refuse to vote for Romney and if Obamacare is implemented, then it is over. After that, there won’t be any reason for Freepers to vote. Nothing will matter. Our constitutional Republic will be doomed and it just won’t matter what happens after that. The Socialists will rapidly come to power and voting will be futile.

I can’t beat this into the heads of those who will let Obama be re-elected because they are bitter about Romney being the GOP nominee.

Nobody should be able to vote except for either property owners, or tax payers. I don’t care which system you use, but either way, if you are collecting from the government, if you are putting nothing in, then you don’t vote. Period.

I would love to see us go back to only property owners can vote.

And women get furious at me for pointing out the fact that, since women’s suffrage, women have been majority Democratic Party voters in almost every state and federal election.

The fact is, if women had never gotten the vote, the Democratic Party would never have wielded the power they did.

This fact infuriates conservative women, but it is an indisputable fact.

You and your fellow Romnet Supporters don t get it,. RomneyCare Is ObamaCare, without the federal mandate and just as odious.

We had this in our hands and you are selling us out to another elitist ivy leaguer, who is the mirror image of Obama.

So is your answer allowing the kenyan /Marxist 4 more years? Because there is no other choice. Could we survive 4 another Bama term?
