This article was relevant in January. Now that Romney has the nomination sewed up it is meaningless. Unless you want to strike out into the third party wilderness. Be my guest, if that's your point. I'm staying back here to try to unseat the Usurper.

I will never vote for Romney.

My son told me yesterday that this might be the first Presidential election where neither major candidate was a Christian.

Sad, isn’t it.

Same here.

The only way to make the GOP Elite understand is to hurt them with our absence.

Don’t stay home; at least do your part to help flip the Senate.

I didn't sell my soul when Bob Dole was nominated, didn't compromise my principles when McCain was nominated, and won't be selling my soul or compromising my principles if and when Romney is nominated.

Ain't voting for the man ... period. End of discussion.

S___w you.

I am tired of voting for rinoes because the rinoes think that they always have our conservative votes tied up. Screw them, they would rather rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.

I don’t think its going to matter. Romney has already irritated the base so badly that a win is unlikely and he’s fixin to shift toward the “middle” and that should finish him off.

Personally, I’m seriously considering a run for township supervisor myself after my township supervisor declared that he’s not going to allow oil rigs on private property in “his township”. My platform will be simple, “Your property, your business”.

In any other. Time fine. but with Obama in the WH, staying home and giving this communist zealot a second term is TREASON!

Yep, that succinctly reflects my opinions on the matter.

Romney never managed to get the party base behind him. If all he has are the professionals, he's toast in any real election.

We'll probably lose 10 Senate seats on this guy's coat-tails alone, plus numerous Representatives.

Thankgoodness we don't elect most legislatures and Governors in the same years.

Then go tell your boy to drop out now. There’s no reason at all a loser like Romney should just be given the nomination. He doesn’t have the base with him. He’s not even everybody’s second choice, and beyond that a fair number of his delegates to date were obtained through chicanery and subterfuge.

Go for it CC! We need more folks like you in office all across this country. Since you’re dealing with a small town, maybe it won’t be a serious headache.

Sorry, but I’m not voting for a corrupt, lying Mormon Socialist Gay Activist Baby Killer. Not in a million years.

If Romney wins, either we get together and come up with a write-in candidate that we can agree on, or I just write in someone’s name on my own. Probably Sarah Palin.

“I’ll stay home —simple.”
****************

simple and honest...

vote for an R candidate and your wasting time and energy...even if an R won, the people would continue to slumber, those beginning to stir would go back to sleep, and the new potus would go back undercover like the previous lesser-of-evils.

imo, better off to vote for obama and some/how many? would at least know something of the trvth...

as for me...I’ll vote Dr Ron Paul, if that is available, otherwise I too will go the simple and honest route... and vote for obama...

otoh, like the lady said, if voting changed anything, they would have outlawed it long ago...

Semper Watching!

That sounds like a great platform.

If it looks like you will run for it, I hope you win and show him it isn’t his township and never was. I despise petty fiefdoms and small town dicators.

We don’t have an HOA or such in my area. I have very mixed feelings if one did come about. The local busybody liberal would no doubt find his way in charge somehow and there would be no end to his nutty ideas. All of which I would ignore gladly. I wouldn’t sign on to anything.

Besides we are looking at moving for several reasons. He is a big one. I won’t miss Karl Joseph Mao Fidel Marxstalintungcastro at all.

It’s also worth noting that all of those candidates, including Huntsman, are more conservative than Romney.

It doesn't look like the GOP primary voters want the most conservative candidate. Perhaps the GOP primary voters don't think a more conservative candidate can take moderate, much less liberal, votes away from Obama.
